Kellie has been in the wedding hair industry for over 27 years and has catered for over 700 happy brides!
She has a trusted reputation for her creative skills and has worked and trained alongside some of the best people in the industry. Kellie is fortunate enough to be in a job she absolutely loves and has built up a strong and loyal clientele over the years. Her passion for Hairstyling and in particular Bridal Hair started many years ago at the age of 17 when she won a local competition for her hair styling skills. She has now gone on to pick up multi-national awards.
After the success of growing her business brand ‘Bridezilla’ Kellie has expanded the team and personally hand picked the best of the best in bridal hair and makeup artists who will be able to deliver you the most sought after trending bridal looks. Kellie believes you never stop learning and ensures the team keep on top of regular training so you can be rest assured they are constantly updating their skills to give you the very best service.
Kellie understands the importance of your wedding day and for things to run smoothly and at ease. Sometimes things become a little overwhelming, which is why she is always on hand to lighten the mood, tell you a funny story and generally help to keep you and your bridal party in check throughout the whole process! Kellie is a complete perfectionist when it comes to bridal hair and will deliver the results as promised , but will also be there to make it fun, relaxed and enjoyable so your wedding memories live on for years to come.
What you can expect at your hair trial
Booking in for your trial is where your wedding journey really begins with us!
Your trial will usually take place at our Studio based in Newbury where we have everything we need to hand (including the Prosecco!) We will undertake a thorough consultation and discuss with you your ideas and inspiration for your big day, you are welcome to bring along any images you have of the hairstyles that have caught your eye and we encourage a friend or family member to join you as it’s always helpful to have a second opinion from someone you trust.
As your stylists we are fully trained in being able to assess and advise you on the look and style best suited to you, we will take into consideration your inspiration, your likes and dis-likes and your face shape to ensure we create a style to compliment the overall look and feel of the day. So that we can help to create that perfect overall look for you it’s really helpful to us if you are able to provide at the trial a photograph of your wedding dress, the style you are going with eg a vintage, classic, boho themed wedding and to be able to advise us whether or not you are planning on wearing a veil, we do have one at the salon we can use as we understand they aren’t always available at the time of the trial.
We advise you not to purchase any hair accessories before you have had the trial as we find some styles don’t always suit and can be quite difficult to incorporate into your chosen style. We have a wide selection at our studio that we can use and help you to find the perfect one to compliment your overall look. Our hair accessories are available to hire for the day or we can advise you on the best one to purchase yourself. We also provide a selection of Beauty Works hair extensions which we find come in very useful for helping to give our brides their dream hair for their wedding day! Even if you already have long hair sometimes a little extra is needed to create added length or thickness, again these we can make available at the time of your trial and if needed can bring along with us on the wedding morning. We have a wide selection of colours to create the perfect blend for your hair, which will save you the time and added stress of sourcing them yourself.
We allocate two to three hours for your hair trial to ensure we have plenty of time to discuss your requirements, try out a few different styles and take lots of photo’s! Once your booking is confirmed we will contact you to arrange a date for your trial which we normally take place 8-10 weeks before the wedding. An email will be sent to you before you attend to outline how to prepare for your trial , what to bring and what to wear!
